Lime Dosing System

Short Description:

The lime dosing system consists of a lime storage hopper (stainless steel/carbon steel anti-corrosion), screw feeder (variable frequency speed control), dissolution mixing tank (with wall-scraping agitator), metering dosing pump (electromagnetic diaphragm pump), and PLC control system, equipped with level sensors, concentration meters, and pH linkage modules. With a single-set dosing rate of 5-200kg/h (as CaO) and adjustable dissolution concentration of 5-15%, it features anti-crystallization clogging (PE-lined tank), metering accuracy of ±2%, and full-automatic start/stop (remote monitoring supported). Lime powder is quantitatively conveyed to the dissolution tank via the screw feeder, mixed into emulsion, and dosed to the process by the metering pump at a set flow rate. The system automatically adjusts dosing volume based on real-time pH values. Widely used in municipal wastewater treatment for acid-base adjustment, industrial wastewater heavy metal precipitation (e.g., electroplating nickel-containing wastewater), chemical desulfurization/denitrification, and waterworks softening pretreatment, it adapts to processes requiring pH elevation, suspended solids flocculation, and hardness removal.
