Shallow Bed Sand Filter
The shallow bed sand filter consists of a stainless steel/carbon steel anti-corrosion tank, quartz sand filter layer (grain size 0.8-1.2mm), dome-type water distribution device, air-water mixed backwash system (adjustable nozzles), and PLC control system. With a single-unit treatment capacity of 20-500m³/h, filtration accuracy of 20-100μm, and filter layer thickness of 300-600mm, it features a filtration flow rate of 8-15m/h, backwash time of 5-8min, water consumption ≤3% of treated water, and high automation. Using pressure filtration, raw water evenly flows into the filter layer via the water distributor, with impurities trapped in the sand bed surface and clean water discharged through the water collector. When differential pressure ≥0.05MPa or timed backwash is triggered, compressed air and clean water jointly flush the filter media to strip contaminants, which are discharged through the sewage outlet. Widely used in surface water pretreatment (turbidity ≤20NTU), circulating cooling water side filtration, RO/UF pre-filtration, and advanced industrial wastewater treatment, it suits large-flow water purification scenarios in municipal water supply, iron & steel, power & chemical, food & beverage industries, etc.
