Static sealing solutions are used in applications where there is no movement between the seal and the surface. A distinction is made between static axial seals, in which the seal is parallel to the central axis of the seal, and static radial seals, in which the central axis of the seal is arranged radially. The most commonly used static products are O-rings, which are standardized according to sizes and tolerances.
